The Future Shows the Past

The Future Shows the Past” is an exciting student competition and fashion showcase celebrating the legacy of Ghana’s independence through style and creativity. This unique event brings together fashion and modeling students from schools across Accra to recreate and reinterpret the iconic fashions of Ghana’s 1957 Independence Celebration.

Students will compete in two major categories:
👗 Fashion Design Competition: Each student designer will create one outfit inspired by the classic styles of 1957, showcasing their creativity and craftsmanship.
💃 Modeling Competition: Student models will present an outfit of their choice, bringing elegance, confidence, and history to the runway.

🌺 Fashion Show & Vendors

Alongside the student competition, there will be a professional fashion show featuring top designers and vendors from the Accra area. Attendees will experience a vibrant blend of tradition and modern style—celebrating Ghana’s heritage and its bright fashion future.

🏆 Awards & Prizes

Winning students will receive cash prizes and special awards in recognition of their outstanding talent and effort.
