US rapper Soulja Boy was arrested early Sunday morning in Los Angeles on suspicion of possessing a firearm as a felon. The arrest happened after a traffic stop in the Melrose neighborhood, where officers found the weapon while Soulja Boy was a passenger in the vehicle.
Known for his 2007 hit "Crank That (Soulja Boy)," the 35-year-old artist has faced legal troubles before, including a recent civil case where he was ordered to pay $4.25 million for sexual battery and assault. His representatives have yet to comment on the latest arrest.
