Vibrant Beats at Mala Majo Festival

The Mala Majo Festival in Nungua lit up the town with an electrifying showcase of traditional music and dance on September 6, 2025. From the energetic performances by local and international groups to the enthusiastic crowd that sang and danced along, the event celebrated Ghanaian culture with a modern twist. Acts like the Hejole Dance Ensemble and the Efosa Dance Company from Nigeria brought powerful rhythms and moves that kept the energy high throughout the day.

Beyond the music and dance, the festival also spotlighted mental health awareness with experts from the Mental Health Authority Ghana sharing valuable insights and support information. This blend of culture and community wellness made the fifth edition of Mala Majo not just entertaining but meaningful, inspiring the youth and honoring those who have championed traditional arts in Nungua and beyond.
